This is an “Anything can Happen” Thursday as any Thursday in NBA and going with the natural favorite to cover is not going to get us anywhere. Especially with two games on board. In an early game Miami Heat will be hosting LA Lakers and the Heat are favored by 12 points. In that game as well I don’t see the heavily favored Miami Heat covering the spread because the line hasn’t moved an inch despite so much money flowing in Miami direction. So, although I like the Lakers to cover that one – I’ll stay out of that game as I hate betting on Miami Heat games and for a reason. But now let us talk about our featured NBA game – the Trailblazers hosting the Nuggets.
Both teams have lost the last two games. The line opened at the Blazers favored by 8 points, but moved rapidly down to 6.5 despite the majority of money and the bets going in Portland direction. Well, when that happens and the Blazers are already after two consecutive losses – the signal for me is to take the “unpredictable” Nuggets to cover. I also would play the Money Line on the Nuggets, but their inability to close the games is stopping me to do that.
In order to avoid falling to the wise guys middling the ATS – I’d recommend buying the points back to the original line released by LVSC.
This is a 5 unit play.
